AUTOMATIC EDGE BANDING MACHINE WITH GLUE POT, RECTIFYING GROUP, BUTTING GROUP WITH RAY UNIT SCM GROUP Mod. MINIMAX ME 40T – As per E.C. rules
The automatic edge banders of “ME” range are simple and complete with the possibility to glue even edges in solid wood strips up to 5 mm, characteristics that make them the top-of-the-range solution for artisan carpentry.

Perfect edge joint line
Pre-Milling Unit.
 Panel edge surface without any imperfections before the gluing operation. It utilizes 2 tools (1 tool for me 28t) with opposing rotation and timed intervention that, through the removal operation, corrects any panel imperfections caused by the saw cutting process and panel storage. The independent exhaust system and the air blowing device removes dust and chips from the panel.
– Diamond cutters available as standard feature

Ideal Edge Application.
Gluing group

The glue is heated quickly and homogeneously by the resistances.
The automatic lowering of the temperature in case of temporary inactivity of the machine prevents the glue from burning.
A new innovative self-lubricating system for the glue pot allows more extensive use of the edge bander without the need for greasing.
2 rolls effectively and uniformly press the edge onto the piece.
The glue spreading roll with internal resistance ensures uniform glue distribution and at the maximum working temperature even on panels of the maximum workable height.
Available like optional, the quick release of the glue pot and the PU glue pot.

Brillant idea
End-Cutting Unit with “Radius”.
 The unit allows you to make a radius on the corners of the edged panel without the need for the operator to have to finish by hand at a later stage: brillant idea to a finished product of high quality.

. Optimal managing of the machine thanks to the 4” graphic display with large and bright characters, keyboard with LED “soft touch” keys, adjustment and indication of the temperature for the glue pot.

PLC Control System.
Simple and intuitive, it allows an easy selection of all the main functions and guides the operator during maintenance, cleaning and diagnostic operations.

Perfect finish quality

GROUPS OF THE BASE MACHINE

RECTIFYING GROUP
Composed by nr. 2 diamond tools diam. 80 mm, it allows a good finishing and linearity of the product in pre-working.
Equipped with separated suction units and an air blow device that cleans the panel from dust and residual chips.
Possibility to make vertical movements of tools in order to exploit them even in the final stage of sharpening.

GLUE POT GROUP, EDGE LOADING AND PRESSURE BORD equipped with:
– teflon-coated pot for thermo-meltable glue, quick heating, for an easy glue replacement
– glue-spreading roll with resistance inside to assure a constant glue temperature
– PLC-integrated control of the temperature of the applied glue
– device for the automatic recovery of the not-used glue
– automatic loader for edges in rolls with shears for edges up to 3 mm of thickness
– turning roll-holder diam. 730 mm
– pressure roll-way composed by nr. 2 steel rolls with opposite taper
– automatic reduction of the glue pot temperature after a temporary non-use (stand-by)
self-lubrication system of the glue pot

SPECIAL BUTTING GROUP WITH “RADIUS” FUNCTION
Installed in replacement of the standard butting unit, while cutting the exceeding edge on the front and on the back side of the panel, It bevels the angles of the edged panel making a rayed cut.
In the case of edging hardwood edges, the butting unit with “raying” function will anyhow make a straight cut.
It can be operated directly from the control board.
Equipped with:
– 1 high frequency motor (0,19 kW – 12.000 r.p.m.)
– 1 blade Ø 125 mm / Z12

TRIMMING GROUP
with high frequency motors, is equipped with turning frontal copying units and disc vertical ones, to align perfectly tools to the working point.
The group is equipped with combined milling cutters diam. 55,3 mm: a part of the cutting edge is used to trim ray edges (2 mm or 3 mm on request) and beveled thin edges.
The straight part of the cutting edge is used for trimming wooden edges up to 5 mm of thickness.
To pass from the position of ray edge to wooden edge it’s enough to move axially milling cutters.
The thickness of the edge is setup through 2 numerical indicators. The group has independent suctions of residual chips.

OPTIONAL GROUPS

58.06.53 EDGE SCRAPING GROUP
New Edge scraping group with numerical positioning indicator. Il allows the finishing of the 2 mm. PVC/ABS edge (on request, other thicknesses). The high rigidity structure allows an optimal vibration-free finish. Machining precision is ensured by frontal and vertical disc copiers, that accurately position the knives with respect to the cutting point.
Pair of knives included (standard R= 2 mm; other thicknesses on request,). Manual group exclusion

58.04.44 BRUSH GROUP

New glue scraping group with rolling copier. It allows to remove any glue excess in the junction between panel and edge, improves panel cleaning.

58.05.09 Device for heating the edge of the panel
Inserted into the machine before the gluing unit, it heats the panels to better adhere the glue, optimizing the edging action. The device is particularly useful in the case of cold work environments and/or storage of panels.

58.06.57 Infrared ceramic lamp to heat panels before applying the glue. It improves the bonding quality in case of low ambient temperatures.

58.05.10 Anti-adhesive group
Positioned before the rectifier group, it prevents the glue from adhering to the lower and upper surfaces of the panel, improving its cleaning. Complete with 2 spray nozzles fed by a container of anti-adhesive liquid.

58.05.48 Nebulizing device for edge finishing
Positioned before glue-scraper and/or brushes, it improves panel cleaning and polishing of the applied edge. N.W.: only for machines with glue-scraper and/or brushes

58.05.49 Brush unit electrical predisposition. It allows the subsequent installation of the brush group present in the accessory list.
